This is a high quality golf rangefinder, so the price is higher than some of the competing products, but the quality is very good.  The Leupold GX-3 is very accurate, and is tournament legal.  It is a compact device, resulting in a easy device to carry.  It is made out of a solid aluminum case, that reduces the weight, but still feels very solid.  The screen is an OLED screen providing a high quality viewing area to read the information.  This is a line of sight device, so you point it at the flag, trap, green, tree or any object to determine the distance.

If you currently have a GPS device, you may want to take a look at a rangefinder as the accuracy is much higher, and the batteries last a lot longer.
